This years performer is Joe Nichols. Previous artists consist of Christian Beck and Chase Bryant. Cash prizes will be awarded for the best Halloween costumes!

BIG Christmas Show

  • BIG Country Holiday Bash gives listeners the opportunity to see artists perform, such as Canaan Smith and Christian Beck at Jergel’s Rhythm Grille. BIG 104.7 will encourage listeners to take part in the Band Together for Kids ,which is a fundraising campaign that will engage the entire CMN Hospital system to raise funds and awareness for local children’s hospitals, including our very own Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. Listeners will Band Together by pledging $5 per month / $60 annually to their cause!

DVE Comedy Fest

South Side Summer Open

  • “Balls out on Carson” The 11th year of an indoor mini golf tournament at various bars and businesses in the South Side of Pittsburgh. The proceeds benefit CLASS (community living and support services.) An after party is held at Diesel.

DVE Rocks For Children’s Radiothon

  • Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh UMPC and WDVE team up together for their annual Radiothon. This will be the 10th year! Through sponsorship and generous listener donations, Radiothon raises vital funds which allow Children’s Hospital to provide the highest quality, individualized care to each of the kids when they need it most. Over this 3 day period WDVE broadcasts live from Children’s Hospital to reach out to its listening audience with interviews of children, parents, doctors and special guests. Last year, $653,024 was raised! WDVE is proud to announce that we were awarded Children’s Miracle Network Hospital’s 2015 English Radio Station of the Year!

DVE Christmas Show

KISS Freak Show Seven Springs Takeover

  • The two weeks prior to this event, the 96.1 KISS Freak Show, Mikey and Bob give away passes to listeners to give them the chance to go snow tubing with them at 7 Springs. The Freak Show spend the day on the slopes with listeners and then party the night away at the Foggy Goggle.

Girls World Expo

PRIDE

  • Pittsburgh Pride is the largest community festival that celebrates the diversity of the region specifically for the LGBTQ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender) community and its allies. It is a 10 day event that takes place in venues all over Pittsburgh and on Liberty Avenue in downtown Pittsburgh. It is the largest LGBT event in Pennsylvania and the 4th largest special event in the City of Pittsburgh with over 130,000 attendees.

Children’s Hospital Walk

Nightmare on Hellsworth

  • NIGHTMARE ON HELLSWORTH is Pittsburgh’s largest free outdoor Halloween party! Now in its 3rd year, the event will take place on Ellsworth Avenue in Shadyside. Presented by 96.1 KISS-FM and produced by the Delta Foundation of Pittsburgh (a non-profit organization and producers of Pittsburgh Pride). This years performer is Zara Larrson, nominated as one of MTV’s Best New Artist for 2016.

KISS Halloween Party

  • 96.1 KISS hosts their annual Halloween Party at Stage AE on the North Shore. DJ Scottro brings down the house, as well as a musical performance. Previous Halloween parties have included Sean Kingston, Jason Derulo, Karmin, Outasight, MC Hammer, Meghan Trainor, Silento, Tori Kelly, Icona Pop and Daya.

ZOOBOO

  • Kids have the opportunity to venture through the Pittsburgh Zoo collecting candy, enjoying the animals and participating in other activities along the way. They can make a deliciously sweet treat or get spooked at the haunted house! There is also a frightfully fun Halloween parade and costume contest at Water’s Edge. All activities are included with general admission.

Stuff-A-Bus

  • Mikey and Big Bob live in an RV for an entire week in the Robinson Town Center parking lot as 96.1 KISS hosts a toy drive to benefit the Marine’s Toys for Tots. Listeners bring out toys to the location and fill school buses throughout the week. In 2015, over 55 buses were filled with toys that were all distributed locally within Western Pennsylvania.

Race for the Cure

  • Each Mother’s Day (Sunday, May 8,2016) the Greater Pittsburgh community comes together to RACE FOR THE CURE®, a combination of walks/runs in various lengths (5K and one mile) taking place in Schenley Park. The entry fees cover the entire cost of the event. Your contributions will fund the Mammogram Voucher Program (MVP), providing mammograms and follow-up diagnostic services to medically uninsured and under-insured women in 30 counties in Western Pennsylvania.

Sports Challenge

  • 3WS spends the summer attending different community events with the Sports Challenge, an inflatable interactive sports game. This 20’ x 12’ inflatable has the capability of having interactive baseball, soccer, hockey and football.
